I created this web/app for my public defender clients. It had a singular purpose – to provide my clients a platform similar to that of high-quality paid attorneys and to improve attorney-client connection and communication.

Given most of my clients don’t have computers, it was designed for primary use on mobile phones — which is why I call it an “app” (but also works on computers).

This website started as a similar free Google Sites pages.

My college-daughter suggested layout improvements and moving it to a non-Google platform; and kindly created a free-Wordpress site and migrated the Client-focused content I’d already created. Once I started to work with this new site, I decided to expand the scope and intended audience of this website to include Public Defenders and Criminal Defense Attorneys and offer the following explanation why:

I am now almost three-years into this great job. And I know that while being a Public Defender is a tremendous way to end my second career as a lawyer, it will be unfortunately too short in duration given my age (60). So I’ve decided to take a page from my first 20+ year career as a non-attorney Army Officer to capture and share “lessons learned” (see, e.g, Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL)).
