Giglio Info-SFCSD #2 [Redacted]

I’ve covered Discovery of “Giglio Material” in a separate post > here.

Here is a [redacted] memo I’ve distributed to defense attorneys who practice in the 24th Judicial Circuit to make them aware of Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 150 (1972) information about recently terminated St. Francois County Sheriff’s Deputy:

Subject: Discovery of Assault Conviction and Termination of [redacted] (SFCSO) [For unredacted version you must be logged in as a Client, MSPD Attorney or Criminal Defense Attorney]

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to share information regarding [redacted] a former law enforcement officer (LEO) recently employed by the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Office (SFCSO).

I recently handled an old 2024 case where my client alleged abuse by officers (i.e., involving assault by taser – including being tased in the SFC Jail [SFCJ] shower after his arrest). [redacted] was on LEO listed on that arrest report.

My supplemental discovery requests included the following:

Electronic Control Tool (Taser) Logs: Downloaded data logs for all department-issued tasers utilized during the arrest, transport, medical treatment, booking, and post-booking of Defendant, including but not limited to…. Deputy [redacted], from October dd, 2024, at hhmm hours (time of “dispatch”) until October dd+1, 2024, at hhmm [a few hours after Defendant’s arrival at the SFCJ.

I was informed today (May 12, 2026) that [redacted] was “no longer” a LEO.  Recalling an officer-involved assault I’d heard of (but not recalling the LEO’s name), I conducted a public search of Missouri CaseNet on [redacted date] on [redacted] . It revealed [redacted] was charged and pleaded guilty to Assault in the 4th Degree ([redacted link] ). According to the Probable Cause (PC) Statement ([redacted link] filed in [redacted-case number], on [redacted date], within the SFCJ “shower room” during the booking process, [redacted] struck an arrestee at least once but perhaps three times. On [redacted date], [redacted] entered a plea of guilty. He received a Suspended Imposition of Sentence (SIS) with 2 years of bench probation ([redacted link]).

To see if [redacted] was involved in any other cases, his public LinkedIn profile [redacted link]) (downloaded May 12, 2026).

Agency (claimed)Position (claimed)Dates of Employment (claimed)
St. Francois County Sheriff’s Dept.[redacted] [redacted]
Farmington Police Department[redacted] [redacted]
Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office[redacted] [redacted]
Washington County Sheriff’s Office[redacted] [redacted]

Note: Outside of [redacted]‘s St. Francois County Sheriff’s Office employment referenced in the PC Statement , these agencies, positions, and dates are self-reported by [redacted] on LinkedIn.

To assist my clients in identifying [redacted] if they cannot recall his name (and if he is not listed on the incident reports), I downloaded a high quality photo of [redacted] (including tattoos) from the SFCSO’s public Facebook page [redacted date] (downloaded May 12, 2026).
