Although some of the myMOpd website remains password protected for clients, public defenders, and criminal defense attorneys, a good portion is now now public. And there is now as weekly-ish public Newsletter.

This website was first created to help ensure that clients who qualify for a public defender are treated exactly the same as those who can afford to pay for a private attorney. My goal was to provide my clients a platform similar to those offered by high-quality paid attorneys and to improve attorney-client connection and communication.

And as a public defender, my clients do not pay me. And this web-app and newsletters were not created to attract “business,” get new clients, or generate profit. As I note elsewhere, “myMOpd is not a private attorney (bio here) and can’t be hired/retained in any capacity (criminal defense, appeals, civil rights, etc.) — so please do not inquire about this possibility — there is none.

It is my hope that by sharing information and insights more broadly, with this important disclaimer, others will be empowered with knowledge, tools, and tips that should not be available only to a few.
